Joy!
Good to know there will be a game to play on that thing hehe
edit: I donno if it'd be better but might be worth trying. In that image, at that size, maybe have the shroom's eye not effected by the shadow? It seems somehow less.. happy

I'd like to mention that happy shrooms means something completely different to me, being a rave DJ and all. _________________ Ninkazu: I wanna shoot up a bunch of cultists in a brilliant cathedral. |

Actually I'd love to, but Canadian's aren't able to create Google Checkout merchant accounts. I've had a G1 for about 5 or 6 months now, and am even expecting a complementary Nexus One soon (Google is giving us free stuff at GDC). Still not allowed to sell yet. :(
Which is especially annoying since there are already many Android devices available at all our major carriers, plus many many more Android "things" from Laptops to Slates announced at CES last month. Android itself is becoming a noteworthy practical OS, because it runs on ARM chips. :|
Actually I'm pretty sure the ONLY devices I can't sell apps for is Android. I can do iPhone, WebOS, Maemo, Blackberry (Java only boo!), Windows Mobile, Moblin, Bada, all the consoles, XBLIG, ... just not Android.
Ahem... ranting aside, what Android device did you get? I know Bean has a G1, and I think Gil mentioned in an earlier thread he has something too. When I finally get Google's blessing, if any of you guys are up for it, I can pass on some betas. Just be sure to let me know what you've got. :)
And if anyone else happens to get an interesting device at a later date, let me know too. The "beta pool" for iPhone GDR members was pretty small, just Sonrisu and Madgarden. Fortunately the devices were all virtually the same (and non multitasking), so it was definitely easier to test.
Smiles for Android will require OS 1.5 or better. _________________ Mike Kasprzak

I actually bought smiles on my nice new touch, and it's probably the best game i've got on it. So cheers. Oh, and grats on the car! _________________ Avatar: Yu Suzuki (Virtual Fighter, Shenmue) |

| I'm not a huge fan of puzzle games by any means, but Zen mode is pretty damn cool. It reminds me of one of those sliding block picture puzzles, only without being frustrating. |

| Cool! You're on a freaking roll with Smiles. Airfare to GDC alone was a very nice bonus. |

Yeah, the prize is a bit crazy. Flight, Hotel, travel to and from (I had a driver who had a sign with my name on it), All Access Pass, spending money ($500), and I've got tickets to a San Jose Sharks game on Saturday, including travel to and from.
I'm in the Independent Games Summit right now. Amazingly, we have wifi this year. _________________ Mike Kasprzak

| I'd like to attend some time, but being on the evil west coast doesn't allow me much room to get there in a reasonable fashion. I'm not a big fan of travel, at that. There will be a Lebowskifest in Orlando this year, so at least I'll get to attend that! |

Don't mind him, he means the East coast heh.
Yesterday my gf was playing some kinda matching game on her Android phone. I mentioned that she might like Smiles and I told her a bit about it. She stopped me half way to tell me she had already played the PC version! I thought that was kinda cool. Sucks it's not on Android yet.

Looking at my sales data, unless it was one of the private betas, that's incredibly rare. ;) _________________ Mike Kasprzak

Sheot. I hadn't even realized you had released the PC version. In fact... (browses web site) I don't see a link to purchase the PC version at all. Am I missing something at http://www.smiles-game.com?
Oh... this might be something you have set up at the Intel app store. |

The only PC version available is the Intel AppUp Store one, hence rare. :) _________________ Mike Kasprzak
