Current-gen consoles have such small hard drives in comparison to how fuch-hueg games have gotten recently.

Wait until you have to download the damned 10GB "patches" for every game, every couple of months! Or maybe that's just xbox hell!

Nah, that's also available for the PS4 Experience™

And it seems a straightforward way of detecting private broswing mode is doing exactly that: trying to set localStorage.

Damnation! This technique no longer works. Damn! I can do something like this, this is the best option remaining, I reckon

Code:
if (localStorage.getItem("lastSeen") === null) {
  // you are either in private, or you
  // have never been here before
}
localStorage.setItem("lastSeen", ...

It is obviously imperfect. Sucks.

Recently. I wanted a way to export some data in a fun javascript project. I visited google and started searching for how to generate xml nodes in javascript. Unholy damnation! JSON, you wench! It took at least 2 minutes for this infernal revelations to summoned from the depths, I am now on damned programmer probation.

That damned Deckard Cain. Could always puzzle out the identity of the special items. I dare wonder, though, could he have created puzzle levels for a video game? Doubtful.

Creating a puzzle without 100% thinking it through, only throwing some ideas on the page and then playtesting to see if it's actually possible with those tools, it's damned satisfying when you figure out your own shadow self's puzzle idea and ship the level off to the soul harvesting factory. You know what I mean!
