I'm paying attention to this, most definitely.

From the same people that did the Shadowrun reboot. The fact that they shipped a decent game is big kudos to them.

https://www.fig.co/campaigns/wasteland-3#about

Ok technically not a Kickstarter but... damn you life, you're throwing too much good stuff at me, when the f* am I supposed to play/watch/listen to it all? Still haven't played Wasteland2 past the Railroad Nomads and that's very early (couple of hours) in the game... and also, a Director's Cut has been released ages ago and been sitting untouched on disk since release... I hate myself. :P (/firstworldproblems)

I backed and liked Wastland 2, but I still haven't finished it, so I'm not entirely convinced I need to back the new one. ;)

I should have backed this:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2048202604/creepy-castle/description

I discovered the kickstarter hours after it closed. It comes out October 31st.

* * *

I think I'm done backing video games. It's going to take some very special projects to get my attention here on.

PS: I recently backed a 3D printer.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/854865943/cetus3d-at-199-get-all-you-need-to-start-3d-printi/description

They did a terrible job with the kickstarter itself, but the product itself is crazy. I could ramble about it for hours. I did so much homework on 3D printers after I discovered the project (and secured my $199 7x7x7' 3d printer with linear rails).

Wish kickstarter would accept paypal. Credit cards are still not a thing for the (poor) masses here.

Damn it.

There's a $89 version that comes with a cartridge you plug right in to the C64 (plus $10 shipping to Canada).

Injection molded to look like a book. Heh.

Damn it.

It comes in a zip-loc bag.

Damn it.

Damn it.

There's a $140 version including all the crazy extras, like a cloth map, stylish notebook, etc. Too rich for me. ;)

Damn it.

EDIT: And I just threw down $99 US for this.

Damn it.

Ha! The creators found my post here, and reached out to say thanks. I keep forgetting that we're an actual forum on the internet. ;)

That's a huge-ass mashup of ideas. Eye of the Beholder meets boxing meets an acid trip.

Agreed. I get a weird feeling about this one though... It's like the camera in the gifs is a lil too well done. Almost like this KS is actually done by professionals that are posing as first-timers...

One of the devs is a cousin of a friend who is a professional. There is a certain "it's too good" to it, but in this modern age of really good dev tools available to everyone (no CS degree required), I could believe it. But clearly there is something we don't know (like dayjob=non gaming related industry).
