Welcome to the ranks of the smartest, most talented and overall awesomest bunch of developers on the whole planet... within the whole universe even... and beyond... for all eternity... and beyond eternity! We're also exceedingly modest about our skills, we never brag, not even about the fact that we're pretty much perfect in every aspect imaginable. Sometimes, when in a good mood, we may act like decent human beings too. So yeah, a happy belated welcome to everyone!

We also occasionally make games.

Occasionally...

Some of you may have heard about me, others not. The reverse is also true.

I'm Mike - the guy otherwise known as anarky or XBot. I'm the biggest non-programmer-wannabe there is. Also a big forum lurker back in the day. So tell me, is this where you all hang out now?

I haven't really lifted a line of code now for a decade, but have created a few little things, mainly Redball, an IRC bot based on chi-sock. Nothing has been done it now for a few years, since a few of the plugins stopped, and I hadn't done enough on it to remember how shit went.

But I digress. Looking to get back into it again, with a few simple idead already on the table. Another thread, another time.

>anarky - Now available in Full HD.

There's still a ton of lurkers out there. Even if they drop in and post a couple of times a year, it's so cool to know they're out there doing their thing, whatever that may be. I kinda like the idea of this board being a refuge for people who are both into and out of game programming :)

I'm also pretty sure I remember you from back when.

Way back in the earliest days of TheCow and Tsugumo's board, I was Kefka.

There was once a guy who went by Anarchy, but I'm guessing you're not him :)

Dennis Busch has officially adopted the handle 0xDB, and henceforth shall be known as such.

The artist formerly known as ...actually was never well known in any context by any standards that matter... retreating into the shadows, hiding behind an obscure handle to take off the pressure of people expecting him to contribute anything of meaning to this world. Feels kind of good to vanish into the void and (pretend to) work on things in secret. ^^

Hi there!

My name is Tiago Sobral, I'm from Portugal, a strange land with almost no game development going on.
Anyway, I have the hobbies of drawing some cartoons, code and learn some new programming languages, and messing sometimes with my guitar (now very rare).
Started with the age of 14 in game development, made a basic space shooter with a friend in DOS (how I miss the old times), tried the next years making some project with some friends, but unfortunately, failed every time. :(
The years gone by, learned a bit of C#, Java, Unity 3D, UDK, 3D modelling with 3DS Max, Blender, lurked some forums (oops...!), but never really finished nothing.
I'm currently working on my first game on a long a time, a simple game using AS3 + Flixel, I'm really enjoying it and hopefully will really be my first finished project.

Hey Tiago. Welcome! Feel free to start a thread about the game you're working on. We all love development logs here. :]

Figured I'd reintroduce myself, even though I'm primarily a lurker.
I am Dionna. I'm trans. I'm proud. I love y'all.

Hi Tiago. Welcome.

I also miss the good old times. That's why I'm working on my very own old-school game engine. It's written in Pascal!
