Exploding Kittens' campaign is just too silly for words. Ask for 10k, get 2 million in 24 hours. They're up to 3 million right now.

I was surprised that it didn't pop up here yet. Apparently they got up to 3 million without even saturating the internet with their KS, meaning the number might even get up a bunch more with some proper marketing. They probably don't care though.

I'm going to back it for sure, the game looks fun and I really want that NSFW deck.

Exploding Kittens hit the 100k backers mark. Insane. 4 million of sweet cash too. They STILL have 23 days to go. These guys are awesome.

Thinking about biting on this:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/othersidegames/underworld-ascendant
I really like the idea, but I'm not sure I'm sold after watching the video. Maybe I'll dig out Underworld 2 and Arx Fatalis for a bit.

I feel the same way. One of the reasons I jumped on Shroud of the Avatar is because it had a non-DRM version available to backers. I'm not so sure about this one, but I refuse to support anything requiring Steam for personal reasons.

More importantly, as you say... the video didn't *feel* like underworld at all. I know it was just a big tech demo but I'm afraid the game will end up being more Arx Fatalis than Underworld.

I want to be excited about it, though. I loved Underworld 1 and 2.

Yeah, I enjoyed the Underworld games, but not enough that I particularly need someone to make another one. That said, if it does come out, I'll probably grab it when it goes on sale.

Some guys that dropped out of the Star Citizen development have started a kickstarter for a new Descent game.

Because you the people asked for it... no, DEMANDED it.

A solid cube of pure Tungsten. Heavier than Uranium!

It's heavy stuff. ;)

Apparently some people liked Banjo Kazooie, so the original creators are making a game like it.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/playtonic/yooka-laylee-a-3d-platformer-rare-vival?ref=category_popular

Because that's what you do these days. You resurrect the popular franchise you're best known for in some subtle way because you no longer have the rights to it and it's being squandered.

$9 Computer.

Specs put it on par with the Raspberry Pi, but it has Wifi and Bluetooth built in, and 4 GB of Flash Memory (Rasp Pi's need a memory card).

The built-in wireless makes it a big deal for $9. Neither the Raspberry Pi or Arduino's have that.

Ironically, though the computer is $9, the accessories cost more. $15 for an HDMI adapter, $10 for VGA, $40 for a portable device with an LCD screen and buttons.

Apparently there was a kickstarter for these.

EDIT: Holy shit! They're actually based on the original moulds!

There's also a Kickstarter to make new cases for Amiga 1200 based computers, but this time they're building new Moulds from scratch.

I'm a big fan of Joe Madueira's work going back to his X-men run in the nineties. His creator owned book Battle Chasers is one of my favorite comic series but it only ran for a few issues. He later moved on to other things (concept art for the Darksider games, and animation).

Now Battle Chasers is back as a glorious JRPG...

Do I lose the game if I want this?

Edit: Also, my keyboard waffle iron should be arriving in a few days.

Lol, that kitty egg locks awesome ^_^
I just know that crap will sell tons :).

Edit: After checking the kickstarter page and seeing how much money they have gotten with how much time left, yeah... it will sell quite good. People love cute kitten related nonsense.

I ended up cancelling because some folks on Reddit found this:

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Sunny-Side-Up-Eggs-Cat-Egg_60339199874.html?spm=a2700.7724838.35.1.bhK5Pf

This might be fake, as there really is only this one listing. The original kickstarter author is claiming they stole her photos, which is plausible.

To make things more confusing though, there is a company that makes some other designs:

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/cute-animal-silicone-egg-shaper-frog_60324107745.html?spm=a2700.7724838.35.1.PAkbuB

Neither of which are available, as they must be purchased in orders of 3000.

On the other hand, these *ARE* available for $1-2 each.
