I was kind-of mesmerized watching this. Final line count is ~950 lines to emulate a NES (though some lines are packed). Not bad.

Interesting. Started watching and then thought: "wait how long is this?" Didn't realize it was that long. Nice music. ;]

It makes sense to me. Winter you're cooped up going stir crazy. Everything that's wrong is staring you in the face.

Happy new year. May you avoid overwriting previously-declared variable names with completely different data and thereby creating insidious crash bugs that take far too long to debug!

GCC (C/C++) has a command line option, -Wshadow, that warns on any variable names you happen to re use. :)

This is an interesting looking game... As in, actual look:

http://toucharcade.com/2012/12/31/the-lords-of-midnight-review-a-timeless-adventure/

It's a remake of an old ZX Spectrum game, using the exact same horrible palette, but vector art instead if pixel art w/ attribute clash.

I'd post comparison shots, but I'm on my iPad

I now have some USB 3.0 stuff, and I can confirm, quite sadly, that it's only ~2x the data throughput of USB 2.0. That's disappointing. I had read reports mentioning this some time ago :(

They didn't seem to show much in that video. Lots of running around in fog. I never played the original so maybe I'm missing something?
