Capcom is for sale. Nintendo, it's time to open up the wallet. It may sting but you really need this.

Yoink!

I knew they were hurting for cash, but I figured they had some badass line of credit they could draw upon. I guess not.

When I read this, I just heard the SNES Capcom intro sound. There isn't really any onomatopoeia for it... Feel free to try, though. :]

Never really understood why everyone hated him. Even after the video I still don't truly get it. Internet people are dumb. :]

I'd say his fatal mistake was taking a giant dump all over the entire Japanese gamedev community, then turning out a very interesting but ultimately boring game.

Well, I enjoyed Fez.. I didn't really bother following the life of its' creator.
I didn't even know there was going to be a Fez 2.. but who knows if he really canceled it. He could still make it.

He'd better not make it. He already said he isn't going to make it, so if he makes it now then he's a liar and people will have another reason to flame him. :)

Fez was a really interesting concept, and was fun... For a bit. It's not the kind of game I beat, it's the kind of game I buy, play a bit, and get bored of.

It's not that. I mean, I don't understand why people care(d) so much, or had such a reaction. "Famous" or not.

Haters gonna hate. :]

Ya, I'm amazed at how much so many people just hate him. I actually met him 6 or so years ago, and we made bad jokes in an Indian restaurant. He's opinionated yes, but not a bad guy. Where as Notch, people just talk shit about, without the hate (or less of it).

I think the issue has mostly to do with the ease at which people can act out over the net- there's the feeling a person isn't bound to the same kind of responsibilities that go with making comments to a person as there would be if you said it to their face. You don't have that risk of being punched in the face, etc.. Added to the fact that there's probably a ton of younger immature kids online that haven't been disciplined(and can't get disciplined for their behavior online), probably makes things worse. When you're young, you do things because you can, because it's something new and exciting, and also because it might make you seem included or cool with your friends, etc, because that somehow seems important when you're younger.
But all of you probably know this already.
People don't mature at the same rate or times- there are a lot of older people that just haven't learnt to be more responsible, etc, probably because nobody has forced them to. That's my opinion anyways. To me, it looks like those who get famous are forced to become responsible, and those who aren't don't get forced to because there are too many to respond to and disciplined. They can just hide behind the collective and continue to feel entitled to their bad behavior, etc.

I'm starting to get imageburn on my laptop screen. :\
Been trying to play various videos to help clear it. Seems to work a bit, but the burn keeps coming back.

My screen has always ghosted. If I leave an image on too long (such as my Ubuntu sidebar), you'll see remnants for a bit. In my case, they do go away though.

Maybe I would have a different opinion of the man if I would have meet him. Now I only have his behavior on internet to base my opinion on.

Holy cow... that's nuts.

I did have a little image "burn" on my first projector. My wife watched a ton of SD content back to back, and after a while I noticed a pair of faint black bars on the sides of the screen when I was watching widescreen stuff. After a few (dozen?) hours of normal operation they faded away. Until then, I had no idea LCDs suffered from that. It's more like the individual cells are getting fatigued, rather than burned in like they do on CRTs.

yea.. I don't understand it.. it's in the top right corner of my screen and seems to have happened where there was a dark edge meeting a light edge of some graphic, in my case the menu bars/tabs of firefox/chrome.. I've added a dark theme to my firefox and also an addon to revert the bar style to a previous version so that the edges can't keep burning into the same spot.. I also have played some video things from youtube to help refresh the pixels, and I also changed my background to a darker tone.. Seems to be helping a bit. Pretty crazy though.

haven't had corn in a while, but a few days ago I ate some gluten-free pretzels because I wanted to experiment and see if I could handle it. It had corn-starch in it, The MAIN ingredient...
After I started eating it, I began sneezing.. afterwards my gut felt weird.. my nose was kind of stuffy, and my mouth/tongue felt weird/tingly.. I also broke out with acne..
wows..

Sounds like a rough experiment to me. I wonder if you could make your own pretzels, some recipe that skipped over the ingredients you're reacting to. Not tofu pretzels.
