This is a minirpg I started... eh, last summer I think? I worked on it for a week or two sporadically before I just stopped.
I'm starting to get tired of never actually finish anything anymore so I've decided to actually do finish this project.

The game will be about Raena Jhul, a trow that has to flee from her homeland when unspeakable evil arrives and tries to reform an old alliance.
During that escape an accident happens and Raena is saved by a human girl (Trows dont like humans) and are then honorbound to help that
girl in return when she fares ill.

Here are three of the enemies that I've designed earlier this week; A dread blob, Goblin chief and eh, a big effin' spider.

Written in freebasic v0.20. 320x420 scaled to 640x480. Uses Mysoft's scale routines. Uses Leonheart's Xfont.

Is the Freebasic/dark/blitz/etc scene still strong?

I haven't kept up with it in many years now.

Can't say anything about dark/blitz and others but I can say that the fb scene seems to have slowed down quite a bit during the last few years sadly.

New project! Awesome.

What is a "trow"? Same as "drow"? Dark elf? :]

Yeah, it's the same thing. Trow is just another name for drow in folklore :).

I find that as long as I am having a good time doing stuff, it is not too important to ever finish anything. If I am having a good time, things will eventually finish themselves but if they don't I still do not need to feel bad about it because I still had a good time.

There are many interesting ideas around the subject of "quitting". It is good to know when to quit, but I do also think there is something to be said for completing projects, too. :]
