I dunno about anyone else, but my playback speed on YouTube is set to 1.25x. I really like the song at the end of the first video, but I just learned that what I like is the song at 1.25x speed. It's catchier.

Saw these. Big names in them. I'm kind of surprised they got so big, to be honest. :]

I got some good swag for Christmahanukwanzaakah: a PS4 and some games, some Philip K. Dick novels, extra mags for my pistol, and various bits of Fallout merch including a Vault Boy statue. I also spent a ton of time with my friends. Great fun, it was :D

Oh gawd. I just had a nearly 8 hour Internet outage. It happened just as an Ice Storm hit, so I couldn't really go anywhere (well, technically I could have walked somewhere, but I would have got wet).

Now that the Internet has returned, I can complain about my 1st world problems.

Internet outage doesn't bother me so much. Now power outage -- that makes Sirocco angry :C

I have everything of consequence on battery backups (modem, router), plus my laptop, so even during a power outage I'd be able to do things. It'd just be extra quiet.

Body and mind survived a nine day spree of being royally boozed up every single night and playing games (both on board and on PC). Happy new year! Mind is REALLY looking forward to sobering up now.

I don't care. I think this song is great. I set my YouTube speed to 1.25x. Normal (1.0) feels too slow for me.

Wicked humans. I endured the medieval torture known as reading recently, poring over the inscriptions of a book titled Nod. In this allegedly fictional narrative, the vast majority of humanity suddenly cannot sleep, and eventually they are going to die of fatal sleep deprivation. I salivated with fervor while imagining this scenario, while imagining the undeniable influx of fresh human misersouls after such a pandemic of literal unrest. Alas, it is but a mere work of fiction, one which I will mildly recommend but shall not label an instant classic of human literature.

Oh, by the way, in case you're out of the loop, Awesome Games Done Quick is ongoing this week (i.e. the Winter event).

Can they really relay video back with low enough latency? :]

They have a video on that.

The video feed appears to have VHS artifacts (37 seconds in), so I'm guessing the eye video is being transmitted as raw Analog video. That should help with the latency.

Deadpool was a fun movie.

I'm a big fan of the marketing. So silly, such fun.

In case anyone is wondering where I've been lately, I have been run over by the girlfriend bus. It's a comfortable bus, but it runs entirely on spare time.
