I don't understand why anyone (who is technically savvy) would want one of those? Am I crazy? Worth it just for the nostalgia factor? I don't get why it's such a big deal. :]

There's an article on that:

Yeah, but that article is about how "simple" it is. For someone who is technically savvy, that really has no bearing -- since other solutions are nearly as simple.

I guess I still don't see why someone would want one of these for themselves. I can definitely see me getting this as a gift for someone. But other than that, it just seems weird to me. :]

I want one, but not as NES to play on (that's a bonus), but as a toy on my shelf, alongside my other toys (Amiibo).

In the grand scheme of things, I probably enjoyed more Nintendo games from the NES era than I did any other era, so it's more meaningful to me in that sense.

The NES and the Commodore 64... and the GameBoy. They made me. :)

My first nintendo console was the game boy (I'm an effin beast at Tetris), then I got a second hand SNES. I did however play an horrendous amount of NES at my friends place. Rescue rangers, Mario, little Nemo. You name it we played it.

Think i would rank my nintendo machines in this order; SNES, NES, Game boy/advance, N64, Gamecube, ds, 3ds, game&watch, wii

I've got emotional bonds to all my nintendo stuff except the wii and 3ds. I'm feel rather indifferent to those two and i never got the wii u.

Anyway, I would love to see them doing a SNES mini :P.
Have you guys looked at the famicom mini? It's bloody adorable but who would be able to play with those pads except really small children.

I have a friend who is a die-hard current-gen gamer, and she won't even think of touching Nintendo platforms. They are, as she flatly puts it, "for kids."

Even she wants a NES mini.

Yeah, I'd have to have one... just because.

I guess I'm just the wrong target audience.

I have bought Metroid enough goddamn times from you, Nintendo. No more! :]

Curious what all you folks living across the seas/border have to say about it. :]

I can't say a lot. I'm Spanish, and we re-elected Mariano Rajoy Brey again despite his stupidity, corruption and destructive politics (we're still at the bottom of the crisis).

Anyway I understand you. We had a similar problem in our last elections with all bad alternatives and also Mariano wasn't the most voted (I've read that most people voted Clinton too).

Sometimes I thin we're going direct to the end.

Maybe. Couple of years to go or so and then boom. I suggest to the internet population to make a pact: If there's WWIII, let's all refuse to go and stay home.

So hey, the new movie "Arrival" was pretty good. If you enjoy sciency science fiction movies (Contact, Twister, etc), I recommend sneaking off to a Theatre to see it.

Go in blind. Don't even watch a trailer if you can avoid it. :)

Yeah, fair enough. You should be saving your Metroid dollars anyway. Surely there's another Metroid game in (early) development by now. ;)

Next year will certainly be about the new Zelda, the new Mario, and the Wii U ports to NX. I'd bet that by E3 2018 we'll hear about a new Metroid.

Nintendo needs to bring everything, EVERY damn IP they got and more, out for the Switch on launch and what do I hear? The new Zelda might be delayed? So there are two games confirmed for the Switch at the time I write this and that is Zelda and Just Dance.

IGN have started a rumor about a new Mario game when they have an article, that's only a couple of months old, with Miyamoto where he states that they havent started working on any Mario game for the Switch. If they actually have a Mario game that close to completion it's going to be sloppy.

It'll just annoy people if they make a big hubbub about ports from the wiiu.

My gutfeeling tells me the console is going to tank and my gutfeeling have been right about the Big N for the last 20 years or so. Should probably change my nickname to Doom Prophet.

Nintendo demoed a new true-3d mario game as part of the NX teaser trailer, IGN didn't start that rumour. It wasn't a wii-u port, but it isn't confirmed officially yet either. Personally as a former Wii-U owner I won't be buying this thing, the entire console was a waste of time and money.

To me, a delayed Zelda means I have a better chance of scoring a Nintendo Switch on launch day. If Zelda was coming out on time, I'd have expected it to be much more difficult. That said, I'm not sure what I particularly need a launch day Nintendo Switch for. Frankly, we really haven't been told much of anything yet (like what the pack-in game is).

Persona 5 was also delayed (From January to April), but hey, The Last Guardian will still make it out this year (pre-release copies are out and about).

I originally had Last Guardian on pre-order, but cancelled it. I figure that one is going to sell well, and in general, wont be a difficult to find used. I more "want to try it" than I need to have it.

EDIT: Yowza. Apparently Nintendo Europe just trademarked "Wave Race".

I trust what they showed in the teaser when there are official trailers are out for the games.
Cool that they are doing something with Wave Race again, now if they would want to resurrect 1080...

Heh, a very silly version of Metallica's Enter Sandman, performed by Metallica with Jimmy Fallon and his band, using shitty children's toy instruments.

Made me smile.

Totally stupid, but it makes me smile. The secrets of the universe, onlocked, by putting a flower on a cats head. :D

I enjoyed Rogue One.

The first half was kinda meh, but once they started the actual operation the lid blew off the entire movie and things started to feel like a traditional Star Wars movie. And that's a good thing ;)
