    * continue to 'git gud' (drawing, painting, woodcarving, pixelling)
    * drink less
    * play more games
    * stop paying attention to world politics, at the very least don't waste time discussing ANYTHING in online comment sections
I even made a schedule for daily studies/practice (but well... I have a long history of big plans followed by nothing... making a schedule was fun though... also the past few month have shown that I get done a lot more if I don't have a schedule and just do things).

- Get a job :(... have an income again :)
- Ludum Dare stuff (I'm trying to structure things so I can continue working on this, while also earning an income, and (hahaha) having time to pursue personal projects too... yeah)
- Make progress on new game tech (see GEL5)
- Make progress on a new game (this is a hobby now... but I have a bunch of internal docs named "Project 2018")
- Keep getting better at cooking... but also eat healthier
- GET BACK IN TO MUSIC!!
- Get back in to designing characters

@DB:

I think it's time to revisit our demoscene antics. We NOP'd pretty hard in 2016. This year we need to execute some opcodes.

The nopcodes are right under my nose every day... the sheet has deteriorated quite a bit though as it became a testing space for arting and a graveyard for dead pencils. Shall print a fresh one and assign a few hours per week in my schedule for this stuff. First (dreadful) job for me would be to document what we already have.

Yeah we'll have to ramp up slowly, but as long as we get the wheels turning even a little we'll get somewhere :)

I have an obnoxious goal of releasing two games this year. I'm pretty confident that it'll happen though.

Other than that, continue getting better at drawing/digital painting and get back into writing music.

I've been drawing pretty regularly for the last 4 months and pretty sure I can keep that up this year.

Place where I dump my drawings: https://www.flickr.com/photos/36917751@N00/

I'd really like to do some demoscene work as well, but I don't think I can fit that in until after these games are out the door.

I've kinda neglected posting on here, so, more of that.
This last year has seen me switch basically all my operations over to C from C#, and I haven't looked back.

So, this year:

Stream more programming. Actually, just... do more programming.

On that note:
- Portfolio projects! Web dev, 3D renderers, networking, physics
- With those in hand, maybe get hired?
- Also possible: finish a game and sell that?
- Make progress on my free/open source game too.

Getting a job is my main stuff here too. I think if I get a job I can do everything else.

Also, still working on an astounding game that makes the industry to go back to Pascal as The Language. I'm pretty near, I feel it...

And survive.

- Go round Mums
- Get Liz back
- Sort life out

Do it! All it requires is higher prioritization. The amount of time we have to do stuff does not change. :]

4 month update on my couldmaybedo:

My haunted mansion puzzle game is getting close to being finished. I'm only doing programming on this one:

Work on Isle of the Damned is going strong and still on track for release this year. Some sprites by my animator (https://www.artstation.com/artist/cypressd) and a recent screenshot:

I've continued working on my drawing, but it's going sloooooow. (anatomy drawings based on the book Grays Anatomy).

I also finished a bunch of cyberpunk inspired music and did a live show at a nighclub with a friend. I had no idea I'd get around to this, but it actually happened. I've been dreaming of singing on stage for a long time. I did all the programming and vocals for the songs. They're still pretty rough, but here's a preview:

How're you all doing?

i guess the "drinking less" is still a work in progress? :) it's awesome that you've kept up your nearly daily drawing for so long.

My ears are both completely stopped up, so anything I listen to sounds like I've got my head dunked in a swimming pool :|

I'll have to revisit that link in a few weeks... heheh.

I've kept off all the weight I've lost, and have been poking around the Amiga architecture, even though we're still invested in C64 for a few more demos. My brain just wants to wander in that direction, so I don't fight it.

I'm exploring Ludum Dare sponsorship, which IMO is better than getting a job. ;)

I've been 3D printing this year, and by association 3D modeling. That was something I didn't expect to be getting in to.

Cooking research continues, but I've been so busy crunching for Ludum Dare/GDC this year that I'm not entirely sure what progress has been made.
