I went on a little photoshop adventure last Friday.
Basically it's a collage of photographs. The background was an old shot I took from a stunt show. Then for myself I set up a wannabe platform with lighting similar to the background scene (daylight from the front, yellow spotlight in the rear). Then I took many many pictures. I knew how the resulting image would look but the details I wasn't sure of. So I took various pictures of my arms, legs, face etc. Then I arranged them and experemented with different versions of the photos.
Scale and hues were different for all of these. Most of them also needed to be rotated/modified.
Then obviously there's a few filters and effects along with some touchups to complete the thing.

Here's an early version of the image:

I'm pretty happy with how it came out. It's silly yet a bit impressive at the same time. I think it represents me well.

Why don't people use normal IMG tags anymore? You know, bbcode exists for a reason. :) Some of us have HTML turned off to prevent exploits.

That's a pretty cool image you have there. About how long did it take you to finish?

There's only a handfull of HTML tags allowed here. There's really no reason to disable them.

I think around 6 hours including the time to take the pictures. Give or take, I wasn't really keeping track.

hehe, interesting pic, bean
As for critique, if you want any, to add to the style you could maybe make the pose more dramatic/odd because the current pose could probably have been made in just one shot since it looks normal. for instance, the pose looks like you could lay on the floor and pose exactly like it and just take one photo.
But if you can't do that, this is an interesting alternative.

Yeah or absolutely right on that. I look at it more as an experiment then an attempt to make the perfect image. At least, that what I keep telling myself :)

/me hasn't been called Evil Jesus in quite some time. Although I haven't put many pics of myself on the internet in quite some time either..

So you know those annoying banner games where all you have to do is click the duck three times to win? I was thinking, that if a company actually made a good, clever game out of them you might attract more people to playing it. It might make for an interesting game design challenge here, too.

I think the only reason those stupid ads work is because people are bored waiting for crap to load, so they want something distracting for a second -- so they go ahead and click on the silly little buttons to squash the bug, kick the loser, punch Bush in the face, or put out fires. If the game is too good or clever, then it's not easy to win. If it's not easy to win, then the "customer" will never ever get linked to wherever the banner goes.

That said, it would be interesting to try to write a game that fits in the dimensions of a banner ad and is actually fun to play.

Looks like Pep and Co finally dawned the classic forum name, Pixelation... and we could all go see, if the site wasn't out of bandwith.

And a decently produced documentary] on how to talk like a salty sea dog. The production group's C64 motif is pretty nifty too.

A cool flash game involving a potted plant, and a something that could be considered like rope physics. You know who you are. :D

Yes! Fulfilling my dreams, I have scored 2053rd in the flytrap game! How do you like them flytraps?!

It's an .. interesting play mechanic, but ultimately it's a shade too tedious / bizarre for me to really get into. p

It's got potential, but the levels are too linear and slow-paced for it to work. We need exagerated physics and dynamic levels for something like rope physics.

I just registered the most awesome of all domain names today!
