Currently works on:
- Qualcomm Adreno GPU (i.e. Nexus One, HTC EVO, Droid Incredible)
- NVidia Tegra 2 (i.e. Test board, Motorola Xoom)

Buggy: If a certain image file is included, game goes blue+purple w/o graphics.
- PowerVR SGX (Droid, Droid X, B&N Nook, Nexus S)

Buggy: All artwork is 50% alpha'd
- Qualcomm Old GPU (i.e. Google G1, G2, HTC Hero)

If anybody wants to give it a run, PM me. I have builds online now without sound.

It was a fight, but the game runs on Android and Symbian, sound and all (Symbian's getting no music though).

With Android now working, it's the home stretch! I'm almost free from Smiles!

Shipped the Nokia (Symbian) ports this evening. Android just has 2 bugs left for me to deal with, and it's good to go as well (music not stopping once screen turned off, and game crashing after task switching back in).

I did these recent ports with something called AirplaySDK. It's a general purpose middleware for writing games for all mobile devices available today. It works so well, I'm thinking about ditching my iOS port and just using this. It has its own graphics API, but supports GL ES too.

That's very impressive. Have you ever thought about writing a book about porting to different mobile devices?

Yes, but last time I wrote a book it wasn't very profitable. ;)

Holy crap. You've gotta be closing in on Dunric's record for most ports for a single project... although you have to admit Smiles is on relevant platforms, at least ;)

Gameplay video for the Amazon store:

Submitted and awaiting approval.

* * *

June 23rd is the 3 year anniversary of starting Smiles. I finished another port today (top secret device). I have packaging to do on another.

My goal is to be "completely finished" by June 23rd... specifically, working on new game without qualms.

Smiles work (ports) post June 23rd should be no more than a day of work each, spread out with weeks or months between them.

F-YEAH!

And though I did miss my June 23rd end date, things are winding down fast, and I've already been working on/towards the new game. My outstanding Smiles work stopping me from seriously starting should wrap in the next couple days.

One last thing, a new (final) trailer showing what the PC, Mac, Linux and TV experience will be like. Yes, TV.

To celebrate finishing that, I've had my rum+coke. Now I'm taking the rest of the weekend off.
